The iPod Touch is More Than The iPhone For The Less Fortunate

If you have not yet come across the new or, let’s say, second generation iPod, then it is about time you look up the new Apple iPod-touch and see what people are boasting about. This is a device that quickly closes that large gap that appears between the iPhone and the iPod. Before, the iPod was said by many to be the iPhone of the less fortunate.

Where the iPod Touch and the iPhone differ is in their ability to make cellular phone calls, and use AT&Ts 3G network. Both devices are still capable of playing nearly any kind of media format known to mankind, and have the same user interface that Apple has made famous with the iPhone commercials.

The interest in the iPod Touch boils down to the fact that without the cell phone circuitry, it’s not only cheaper, but it lasts longer on a charge off of the battery. It’s also been refreshed with a hardware volume control, and the internal speaker has gotten a couple of subtle improvements.

Now, let’s be honest. Most people who use an iPhone or an iPod touch will connect up a set of headphones. You’re not going to get great sound quality out of any speaker that fits into the frame and chassis. That being said, the new iPod Touch’s speaker is significantly better than the iPhone’s, largely because there’s room for a larger one in the case.

As with all Apple products, the industrial design is excellent. The iPod touch has the same sleek design as the iPhone does, with a steel back and the clear, uncluttered face. The user interface options are as rich as the iPhone’s is, and the ability to surf the web on any WiFi connections makes it the mobile device for people who want to check things out on the go. It’s a little lighter weight than the iPhone as well. And the higher end speakers meant that if you aren’t listening through the headphones it’s going to be an attention-getting device.

The new iPod touch is for those that enjoy listening to music, mainly because for the sound quality. The device does not suffer in terms of sound loss compared to the iPhone. This is only because the iPod touch does not have to compete with interferences such as radio frequencies, which is inherent when it comes to the requirements of phone transmissions. It is obvious that if there is RF interference, sound quality will be lost.

It does not matter what type of music you enjoy listening to. Let it be symphonies, classical, orchestra, R&B, pop, guitars, bass or drum – whatever it is, you can be sure that the iPod touch will handle separation and frequencies better and only deliver quality.

The sound quality on the speaker is good, but with digital music, high quality head phones will make it sound even better. Just remember, the iPod touch has evolved, and if you’re a music lover, you want one.
